DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect and pack pouches/rolls in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain product quality according to established standards and achieve maximum kilogram/hour output with mínimal scrap production.
  • Prepare in advance all orders for the shift to minimize the amount of nonproductive time and production scrap.
  • Assist the Operator by monitoring quality and production speeds and report any deviation from the standards to the Operator.
  • Lift and handle rolls and boxes for finished goods which may weigh up to 35kg.
  • Assume the responsibility for the quality and quantity of bags placed in each box.
  • Assist the Operator by making minor machine changes.
  • Ensure that the necessary paperwork such as production reports and line reports are complete and accurate.
Maintain the department at a level of housekeeping as outlined by the Company.

  • Assist in special projects as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
  • Operate the forklift and other lifting devices as required (only after receiving the proper training).
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak's TQI program.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF 2000 standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Aptitude for machinery.
  • Previous related work experience is preferred.
  • Other combinations of education, experience, knowledge, and skills will be considered.
