About the Role
The Manager, Budget and Financial Analysis provides professional advice, support and oversees transaction processing for all operating, research and specific purpose projects, and other related projects and activities in the Faculty of Applied Sciences.
The Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing the annual budget process as well as the planning and managing all year end reporting activities including research and special purpose fund reporting.
The position is responsible for ensuring that projects are accounted for in accordance with SFU policies, sponsor guidelines and applicable accounting standards.
The Manager develops and implements financial processes, prepares monthly variance analysis information, develops standard and customized financial reports to support senior management planning and decision making, and prepares financial analysis and reports.
