The Purpose:

As the IT & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of F12's IT infrastructure while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, industry regulations and standards.

This role involves leading integration processes, collaborating with various departments to enhance operational efficiency, and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.

Reporting to the Director of IT, you will also provide consulting services across various teams, align IT strategies with business objectives, and ensure continuous improvement in IT practices and policies.


Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management _

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and other stakeholders, define Infrastructure strategy and roadmap
  • Oversee the design and implementation of IT infrastructure including network, servers, storage, and virtualization
  • Evaluate system performance and provide strategic solutions to maintain quality of service
  • Review operational tools and ensure their effectiveness in maintaining operational standards
  • Recommend and oversee automation strategies to achieve highest level of efficiency in supporting F12 services and processes
  • Oversee design and maintenance of F12 disaster recovery and business continuity strategy
  • Assist with annual testing of DR strategy

Compliance Management _

  • Ensure IT practices, procedures, and operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO, CMMC, PCI DSS, and CyberSecure Canada
  • Conduct regular audits of IT systems and processes to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with data protection, privacy, and security regulations
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures, including those related to cybersecurity, data governance, and access control
  • Maintain compliance with existing security certifications
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required

Cybersecurity and Risk Management _

  • Design and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data and IT assets from cyber threats
  • Conduct risk assessment and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Review security configurations and provide recommendations on improvement
  • Assist with monitoring and resolution of security incidents
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, HR, and finance, to align IT infrastructure and compliance efforts with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on IT policies, procedures, and best practices as required

People Management _

  • Work closely with internal IT team to establish and manage project priorities, ensuring effective resource allocation
  • Act as a mentor, providing guidance and support to team members in order to improve technical skills and enhance team performance
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for team members
  • Promote personal growth within team by encouraging members to pursue relevant training and obtain certifications

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations and managing monitoring solutions
  • 5 years of experience in Datacenter Operations is an asset and preferred
  • 5+ years in cybersecurity compliance and risk management
  • Relevant industry certifications are an asset (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, others)
  • Thorough understanding of Cybersecurity principles, data protection laws, and compliance frameworks
  • Good understanding of integration and migration technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, vSphere, Azure, backup and storage, networking, and firewall configurations
  • Ability to make sound judgements despite ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to effectively connect with client technical resources and management to present solutions and findings
  • Openminded when investigating solutions and receiving feedback
  • Ability to maintain calm poise in stressful
