  • Job SummaryThe Ministry of Housing delivers strategic planning, public policy, legislative development, program evaluation and research on issues such as affordable housing, strata properties, Indigenous on
- and off-reserve housing, housing markets, social housing, homelessness, housing for persons with special needs and the role of local government in housing.


The Corporate Management Services Branch within the Ministry of Housing provides financial risk management and oversight for all housing projects and programming with financial implications to, commitments from, the Province.

This includes, but is not limited to capital projects, programming and programming supports, operating grants and subsidies, staffing, etc.


Delivery of the strategic services requires the Branch to not only develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, but also impacts the programs delivered by other organizations, such as BC Housing Management Commission, other Ministries, Federal Agencies, non-profit organizations and industry associations.

The Financial and Administrative Analyst will provide financial services to the Ministry of Housing.


Job Requirements:


  • Secondary school graduation plus formal financial management course work, or equivalent.
  • Experience in conducting financial forecasts and analysis.
  • Experience coordinating the assembly of financial data for budget preparation and evaluation.
  • Experience completing account reconciliations and journal vouchers.
  • Experience developing financial statements and reports for management.
Preference may be given to applicants with 1 or more of the following:

  • Experience in ORACLE, and Data Warehouse or CAS (Corporate Accounting System).
  • Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience supporting diverse client groups in a financial or administrative office.
  • Experience developing financial dashboards, tools, and databases to enhance service delivery.

About this Position:

Remote work is allowed. This position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia as per the Telework Agreement.
