HR SPECIALIST (18 MONTH MATERNITY CONTRACT)
ABOUT US:
WHAT YOU DO:
The Human Resources Specialist is involved in the day-to-day operations within the HR department from staffing activities including recruitment and hiring processes, supporting payroll and benefits administration, performance management, employee relations managment and working on new projects to automate and improve HR Operations.
DETAILS:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Responsible for fullcycle recruitment; including assisting with creating job descriptions, preparing advertisements, posting, resume screening, coordinating and conducting interviews, reference checks, making hiring recommendations and preparing job offers and delivering job offers.
- Perform related administrative tasks including processing new hire paperwork, entering data into systems, preparing documentations.
- Participate in building a new hire orientation program and delivering orientations.
Payroll & Benefits:
- Maintain benefits program; registering new hires, providing benefits orientation, reviewing monthly statements, managing activations.
- Support time and attendance tracking activities.
- Submit payroll changes (such as new hire documentation, offboarding documentation) to payroll within the cutoff timelines.
Employee Relations:
- Effectively support staff and management to ensure the best possible outcome and suport is delivered for sensitive employee related matters as required.
Other:
- Supports employee offboarding activities and performs related administrative tasks record.
- Responds to general employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies and procedures, entering time and attendance and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Participates in the design, implementation and ongoing delivery of Human Resource programs and initiatives.
- Assists with the analysis of HR data, metrics and information to foster business insights and guide decision making.
- Plan and organize company social events.
- Support office administration and perform other ad hoc assignments and projects as assigned.
- Maintain staffing data and lists.
WHO YOU ARE:
- 3 years' working experience in recruitment, or HR environment with emphasis in recruitment.
- A certificate/diploma or formal course work pertaining to the Human Resources profession.
- Ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with leaders and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Working towards CPHR designation considered an asset.
- Professionalism and confidentiality are essential, with a strong commitment to providing excellent service to associates and leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problemsolving skills to conduct analysis and recommend solutions

$28.00-$33.65 per hour
