AECOM is looking to hire a Project Risk Management Analyst for the Program and Project Management (PPM) Practice, Canada Region.
The role includes coordinating and facilitating group and individual project/program risk assessment and review meetings; performing qualitative and quantitative project risk modeling and analysis; and developing risk mitigation strategies.
Job Summary:
As an industry leader in program management and construction management for large capital programs, AECOM oversees activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, risk management, to design, construction, and commissioning.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential functions of the job are as follows:
- Day-to-day risks management activities on Client projects including risk identification, prioritization, risk register management, risk response action planning and monitoring.
- Maintain and continuously improve AECOM's risk management tools to meet the requirements of Client Projects.
- Assist in the development of project specific risk management plans for risk identification, risk analysis, risk response planning, and monitoring.
- Review project document, analyze project data and develop Risk Registers.
- Schedule and conduct risk interviews and support or run risk assessment workshops to gather requirements, identify and prioritize risks, and gain consensus for effective risk response strategies and actions.
- Where required, support lesson learnt reviews, constructability reviews, schedule critical reviews, and scrutinize cost estimates, to identify and understand areas of uncertainty.
- Develop quantitative integrated cost and schedule risk models and analyze results to forecast the cumulative effect of risks on project schedule and cost and identify effective risk response strategies to minimize exposure.
- Organize and facilitate risk mitigation meetings.
- Work with project team on risk allocation and risk transfer mechanisms through either design specifications or language in the procurement documents.
- Assist in the development of ad hoc risk communiques supporting decision points in the project.
- Conduct research and analysis, prepare reports, and make recommendations based on findings to support project decision making.
- Prepare risk communications (memos), Risk Assessment reports, and risk profile presentations, and document risk mitigation strategies.
- Create reports and presentations in both Excel and PowerPoint, and perform various analytic tasks to support strategy, business/financial planning, and operations.
- Act as an advisor for projects in the area of Risk Management, including but not limited to when/how to do a formal risk assessment, develop and organize risk mitigation plans and develop tracking mechanisms to controls effectiveness of risk management.
- Work and team with a multitude of different people - including business customers, Functional managers, project managers and engineers - to balance demands.
- Work collaboratively with risk management team, involving supporting decisions of the Risk Manager.
- Demonstrate a strong communication and facilitation skills.
Qualifications:
- A BA/MS degree in Business, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications for the role are as follows:
- M.Sc. or M.B.A. degree in Civil Engineering, Economics, Statistics or related field.
