As a CAA Niagara Travel Consultant, you will use your expertise and passion for travel to make each client's travel experience memorable.

This is a full-time permanent position, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

PRIMARY ROLE:


  • Conduct exploratory conversations with Members/Clients to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations and accommodations required.
  • Meet sales KPIs and other assigned performance metrics.
  • Plan, describe, arrange and sell all components related to the travel needs of the Members/Clients
  • Handle unforeseen problems, complaints and/or escalations and determine appropriate course of action to resolve
  • Conduct research around travel destinations
  • Offer travel solutions to our Members/Clients that meet their vacation visions
  • Complete timely and accurate invoicing for travel bookings
  • Assist in staffing of CAA Niagara events where travel presence is required

REQUIREMENTS:

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:

  • Experience: 2+ years of customer service and sales experience / travel agency experience will be considered an asset
  • Education: Post-Secondary education in Travel & Tourism will be considered an asset / TICO certification (or willing to obtain) / Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) designation (or willing to obtain)
  • Skills: You must have strong computer literacy and thrive working under pressure. Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting, and attention to detail skills will be required for success
  • Characteristics: You are a selfstarter with a passion for travel and continuous learning. You enjoy building relationships and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Hours & Location: As a Travel Consultant, you must be able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings and weekends on rotation.
You must have the ability to work at any one of our four locations:
Grimsby, St. Catharines, Welland, and Niagara Falls.
