- Ongoing delivery and continuous improvement of all human resources programs including compensation, benefits & leave, employee relations/recognition, performance management, recruitment administration
- Cultivating strong employee relations by providing support, addressing concerns, and fostering a culture of respect and collaboration
- Developing and facilitating engaging training and development programs that enhance employee skills and contribute to their professional growth
- Ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies, fostering a fair and equitable workplace for all employees
- Working with the leadership team to identify new initiatives in support of the business and leading their implementation
- Handling ongoing HR administration including maintaining employee records and HR software (currently ADP but open to evaluation)
- Staying up-to-date on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Conducting or acquiring background checks and employment eligibility verifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Human Resources Manager or similar role
- Positive and proactive attitude, with a desire to make a significant impact on the company's HR function
- Resilience and a growth mindset with a hands-on approach to their work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to build relationships across the business
- Ability and confidence to lead new initiatives and be the advocate for HR best practices in the organization
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HR systems and software
- Professional Services experience is considered an asset
- CPHR designation is considered an asset
- Bachelor's degree or certificate program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset
