    Venor is proud to partner with our client, an established engineering firm, in their search for a Human Resources Manager . The role will lead and deliver ongoing people and culture initiatives within the organization.

    As a member of the Leadership team, the Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions within the business including employee engagement, talent & performance management, onboarding/orientation, benefits & incentive compensation, training and development, recruitment administration, and HR policies and programs. With HR viewed as a strategic business partner, this is an opportunity to make an impact by championing new people & culture initiatives in a forward-thinking organization.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Ongoing delivery and continuous improvement of all human resources programs including compensation, benefits & leave, employee relations/recognition, performance management, recruitment administration
    • Cultivating strong employee relations by providing support, addressing concerns, and fostering a culture of respect and collaboration
    • Developing and facilitating engaging training and development programs that enhance employee skills and contribute to their professional growth
    • Ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies, fostering a fair and equitable workplace for all employees
    • Working with the leadership team to identify new initiatives in support of the business and leading their implementation
    • Handling ongoing HR administration including maintaining employee records and HR software (currently ADP but open to evaluation)
    • Staying up-to-date on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
    • Conducting or acquiring background checks and employment eligibility verifications

    What we are looking for:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Human Resources Manager or similar role
    • Positive and proactive attitude, with a desire to make a significant impact on the company's HR function
    • Resilience and a growth mindset with a hands-on approach to their work
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to build relationships across the business
    • Ability and confidence to lead new initiatives and be the advocate for HR best practices in the organization
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HR systems and software
    • Professional Services experience is considered an asset
    • CPHR designation is considered an asset
    • Bachelor's degree or certificate program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset
