Financial Analyst - Financial Information

The position reports to the Manager, Financial Information

As part of your duties, you will be required to:

Collaborate on the financial month/quarter/year-end processes:
Prepare journal entries.
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and explanation of variances.
Prepare G/L account reconciliations.
Participate in the preparation and validation of quarterly financial reports and explanation of variances.
Prepare monthly financial reports required by MHI headquarters in Japan.
Maintain uptodate knowledge of IFRS and ensure that financial statements reflect current standards.
Prepare lease schedules in accordance with IFRS 1
Assist in the preparation of sales tax returns.
Collaborate with various Finance groups and other business partners.
Support the budgeting process.
Participate in the implementation of the new Finance ERP system and support the team's various projects.
Assist external and internal auditors.
Conduct accounting research.
Respond to various ad hoc requests.
You have a bachelor's degree in accounting sciences and hold a CPA accounting designation.
You have a good knowledge of IFRS.
You have a minimum of three (3) years experience in accounting.
You have a good knowledge of Excel.
Good knowledge of SAP and One Source would be considered an asset.
You are a team player.
You are proactive and attentive to quality and detail.
You have an excellent ability to manage various deliverables.
You are bilingual (English and French), both written and spoken.
