JOB SUMMARY:


The Gas Fuser reports to Gas Superintendent to safely and accurately install, repair, test and perform tasks related to construction and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Working 6 days a week, hours a day.
  • Service and repair heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, trenchers), vehicles, trailers, and other associated equipment (generators, man lifts, light plants, drills).
  • Asset journeymen HET with maintenance of the fleet.
  • Preform general shop labour and housekeeping duties.
  • Drive equipment and trucks in and out of the shop.
  • Clean the equipment and trucks.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Certified 2nd year Apprentice HET with active AIT Apprenticeship records.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs.
  • Class 5 driver's license and clean abstract.
  • Prior knowledge of Heavy equipment of how maintain them.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and selfstart to solve problems.
  • Willingness to learn.
