About the Champlain Community Heart Health Survey (CCHHS) and PURE Study:
The CCHHS is a population based survey that collected cardiovascular risk factor data as well as direct physical measures.

The Champlain Cardiovascular Health Survey has partnered with and utilizes the methodology of the international Prospective Urban and Rural Epidemiological study (PURE).

The project initiated data collection on over 1,400 participants in the Champlain region between 2008 and 2009 and continues to collect follow-up data.


Position summary:


The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the Research Coordinator and the Investigator to coordinate several facets of the study operation.


This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Conducting inperson appointments obtaining participant consent, administering detailed questionnaires and collection of direct physical measurements
  • Maintaining necessary study documentation, including data input

Basic requirements:


  • Phlebotomy certification (venipuncture certification)
  • Experience with lab specimen preparation and shipments
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Flexible working hours
  • Ability to travel to satellitesites in Champlain Region with the Research Coordinator

Preferred qualifications:


  • Previous clinical and research experience
  • Bilingualism (English and French)
  • Experience with physical measurements including spirometry, blood pressure, height, weight, waist and hip circumference measurements, and grip strength
