POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of our operations team, the Install Technician will be responsible for installing guardrail, cable barrier, signage, and other traffic safety systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Aid in the installation of signage and other traffic control systems such a guardrail
Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles and trailers
Secure cargo and heavy equipment to flat deck and double drop deck trucks
Safely drive and operate vehicles out to infrastructure job sites throughout the city
Operate various hand and power tools; including drills, skid steers, etc.
Assist operators in loading and unloading construction materials from trucks both manually and utilizing the use of equipment
Execute daily work under the direction of the site superintendent
Participate in daily safety meetings and fill out hazard assessments
Maintain a clean work site by handling materials and storing them properly
Report incidents immediately to health and safety or site supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1 year construction experience
Ability to work flexible schedules, evenings, weekends, etc.
Ability to communicate with project team members to ensure tasks are executed in a timely manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid provincial drivers license and clean drivers abstract
Ability to pass preemployment drug & alcohol testing
Preferably, current Construction Safety Training certification
