POSITION OVERVIEW


As an integral member of our operations team, we are looking for a production manager to oversee the manufacturing of signs within our production environment.

This position will oversee the print and sign shop departments and provide oversight and leadership to production team members while maximizing efficiencies within the production life cycle.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Manage day to day production operations including the print department and sign shop department with potential to take on additional production departments based upon growth and performance
  • Ensure proper communication between print and sign shop regarding operational execution
  • Implement LEAN practices and processes within a growing production environment
  • Oversee lead times on all orders and ensure operational efficiencies
  • Review and approve timesheets for production team
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed and weekly safety meetings are occurring
  • Champion a culture of safety within the department
  • Creating work schedules and approving overtime within the department
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators for the department
  • Ensure appropriate preventative machine maintenance is occurring
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors
  • Perform quarterly performance reviews with lead hands and yearly performance reviews with production personnel
  • Other duties as may be assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably, LEAN Six Sigma certification or related education
  • 35 years' experience in a production environment, preferably within sign production
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role with managing employees
  • Preferably, experience with SAP software
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven track record of developing future leaders within the organization

HOURS OF WORK
The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Potential need to work overtime or extended hours as required.
