About the role:
We are seeking an eager Materials Administrator to join our team. This role will coordinate all inquiries from external sources effectively and efficiently to the appropriate parties within the organization.
The successful hire will report to the Materials Manager and coordinate all administrative work in customer service, purchasing, inventory control, and planning areas.
The Materials Administrator will also work with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time with right quantities, and coordinate and follow up in-bound and out bond logistic as required.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Issue PO for all nonproduction items for all Dept, including misc. items, tools and consumable items for shop floor.
- Follow up all open PO with suppliers/Freight companies to ensure shipments will arrive on time.
- Act as a back up for Booking couriers and freights inout of two facilities
- Request all necessary documents from suppliers such as ROHS/REACH, certs and others as needed.
- Ensure customs require documents are up to date such as COO, CUSMA
- Help and act as back up for planning/scheduling, eg, issue, print and labour WO
- Complete necessary inventory adjustments as required and make sure inventory in system is up to date
- Prepare production reports and shipping documents as required
- Ensure information such as pricing and costs is up to date in system.
- Handle reception duties including answering the switchboard, greeting suppliers, customers, and visitors
- Some standard correspondence, filling and general office administration and other duties as required.
- Other duties as determined by the manager.
Position Requirements:
- Post-Secondary Education diploma or certificate (University/College) of relevant education back ground
- Minimum 12 years of logistics/replenishment experience in manufacturing environment is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to multi task and gather information with different departments and external parties efficiently and effectively.
- Computer skills with industry standard software and accurate data entry capabilities
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
- Ability to work well as part of a team
