Academic Part-time Position

The School of Health & Life Sciences is currently in search of qualified professionals to contribute to the development of curriculum in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Responsibilities:

Participate in regular meetings with curriculum development consultants from the School of Allied Health and Life Sciences, as well as relevant program stakeholders
Adhere to College policies and procedural guidelines for crafting course outlines, assessment tools, rubrics, lesson plans, and PowerPoint presentations
Ensure timely completion of all stages of curriculum development as per agreedupon timelines
Collaborate with accreditation bodies, regulatory entities, and other stakeholders throughout the curriculum development process
Align curriculum development with established sonography accreditation and practice standards
Foster collaboration and relationships within the Sonography Profession and within Conestoga College

Qualifications:

Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited ultrasound program
Hold a current and active membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
Minimum of three years of relevant industry experience
Previous experience in adult or postsecondary level teaching is an asset
Familiarity with curriculum development processes is an asset
Proficient in computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g., D2L, Zoom)
Demonstrate excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within an academic team
Possess strong relationships with industry contacts and network connections
