The School of Health & Life Sciences is currently in search of qualified professionals to contribute to the development of curriculum in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in regular meetings with curriculum development consultants from the School of Allied Health and Life Sciences, as well as relevant program stakeholders
- Adhere to College policies and procedural guidelines for crafting course outlines, assessment tools, rubrics, lesson plans, and PowerPoint presentations
- Ensure timely completion of all stages of curriculum development as per agreedupon timelines
- Collaborate with accreditation bodies, regulatory entities, and other stakeholders throughout the curriculum development process
- Align curriculum development with established sonography accreditation and practice standards
- Foster collaboration and relationships within the Sonography Profession and within Conestoga College
Qualifications:
- Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited ultrasound program
- Hold a current and active membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Minimum of three years of relevant industry experience
- Previous experience in adult or postsecondary level teaching is an asset
- Familiarity with curriculum development processes is an asset
- Proficient in computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g., D2L, Zoom)
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within an academic team
- Possess strong relationships with industry contacts and network connections
