The School of Health & Life Sciences is currently in search of qualified professionals to contribute to the development of curriculum in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography.


Responsibilities:


  • Participate in regular meetings with curriculum development consultants from the School of Allied Health and Life Sciences, as well as relevant program stakeholders
  • Adhere to College policies and procedural guidelines for crafting course outlines, assessment tools, rubrics, lesson plans, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Ensure timely completion of all stages of curriculum development as per agreedupon timelines
  • Collaborate with accreditation bodies, regulatory entities, and other stakeholders throughout the curriculum development process
  • Align curriculum development with established sonography accreditation and practice standards
  • Foster collaboration and relationships within the Sonography Profession and within Conestoga College

Qualifications:


  • Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited ultrasound program
  • Hold a current and active membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Minimum of three years of relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience in adult or postsecondary level teaching is an asset
  • Familiarity with curriculum development processes is an asset
  • Proficient in computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g., D2L, Zoom)
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within an academic team
  • Possess strong relationships with industry contacts and network connections
