Our AGS Oshawa location is looking for General Operations Associates to join our team in Oshawa.


Responsibilities

  • The loading and unloading of parts from conveyors, WIP racks, boxes or other receptacles.
  • Visual inspection of parts and placement of same in accordance with work instructions for process steps defined.
  • Continual inspection of parts throughout processes and labelling in some circumstances ensures adequate processing of parts.
  • Ensure accurate printing of labels for labelling use.
  • Identify defective parts and place into rework racks, as per procedures.
  • Carry out stocking activities to ensure a constant supply of solutions, cloths, gloves, tape, labels and other tools and supplies, using proper Health & Safety procedures for all activities.
  • Work with other staff to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively, to resolve production barriers, and to achieve maximum customer support.
  • Work in compliance with the OH&S Act, use required PPE and devices, report defects in safety gear, hazards and contraventions of the Act.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, reporting malfunctions and deficiencies. Ensure adequate supplies of working materials. Practice good housekeeping.
  • Report problems and quality issues to the Supervisor. Take corrective action where possible.
  • Perform any other duties that may be specifically or generally assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent, or a combination of training and experience in a related field.
  • Good verbal communication skills, and the ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to perform operations related to computerized or automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week, and flexible to work all shifts (days, afternoon, nights)
