We are a well-established family farm looking to hire additional staff members to meet the needs of our growing business.

We are currently looking for an Animal Care Attendant - Small Animal.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment for staff.
  • Interacting with animals in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Monitoring animal behaviour and health, reporting any concerns.
  • Feeding, watering, and cleaning of animal housing according to established protocols.
  • General cleaning and disinfecting of your department.
  • You will need to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labour such as bending, stooping and standing for extended periods.

Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Animal Biology or Zoology.

Other Requirements:


  • Previous work experience on a farm or animal breeding facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple demands in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize.
  • High attention to detail and organization.
  • Previous work experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong, effective communication abilities, both written and verbal with the ability to adapt your style to meet the needs of the person you are communicating with.
  • Selfmotivated, dedicated to continually learning.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$19.00-$25.00 per hour
