As a Packer and Warehouse Associate at Arrowsmith Moving & Storage, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient packing, handling, and storage of our client's belongings.

You will work closely with our moving crew and warehouse team to properly pack, label, unload, and organize items for transportation and storage.

Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment will contribute to the overall success of our operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the moving crew and warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate packing, loading, unloading, and storage of items.
  • Safely and efficiently pack household items, including furniture, appliances, electronics, fragile items, and personal belongings, using appropriate packing materials and techniques.
  • Ensure items are properly labeled, making it easier for the moving crew and warehouse team to handle and locate them.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of items from trucks and containers, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Organize and store items in the warehouse, maintaining an efficient and wellorganized layout.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organizing work areas, assembling/disassembling furniture, and operating warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing assistance and support as required.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a packer, warehouse associate, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of proper packing techniques and materials.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work parttime hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the demands of the business.
  • A valid driver's license is a plus.
  • A valid forklift ticket is preferred, but not required.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week


Salary:
$21.00-$24.00 per hour
