Arrowsmith Moving & Storage is a reputable moving company that provides high-quality moving and storage services to clients in the local and surrounding areas.

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable swamper to join our team.

The swamper will be responsible for assisting our movers with loading and unloading household and commercial items, packing and unpacking items, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods to and from various locations.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the moving crew in loading and unloading household and commercial items
  • Pack and unpack items to ensure their safe transportation
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles
  • Keep the moving truck and equipment clean and wellmaintained
  • Ensure that all items are properly secured and labeled
  • Communicate effectively with the moving crew and clients
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a swamper or similar position in the moving industry in an asset but not required
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites is an asset but not required
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as required

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week


Salary:
$20.00-$23.00 per hour
