This plays a vital role in providing support to the accounting department and maintaining accurate financial records.
This position involves a combination of administrative and accounting tasks, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial processes.
The Accounting Clerk/Administrator works closely HR /Safety Coordinator, Executive management, with the accounting / administrative team and assists in various financial activities to ensure smooth operations.
This position requires a high level of integrity and confidentiality and will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date personnel records for all staff, vendors, clientele and administration.
Job Requirements:
- Maintenance and monitoring of all hard & soft files. Controlling/maintaining order/filing systems and online orders in conjunction with QBO.
- Observance to ensure all sales and data are handled accordingly. Working alongside to assist in the sales and management team when required.
- ADP EZLabour, ADP TeamPay, QBO, Drive (All Files & Hardcopy File management & accuracy).
- Processing financial entries to ensure a proper recording of all business transactions.
- Print vendor invoices and match them with the corresponding packing slips.
- Verify the accuracy of the invoices, including quantities, prices, and terms.
- Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system for payment processing.
- Organize the filing cabinet, ensuring all financial documents are appropriately filed and easily accessible.
- Move current year physical files to the filing room and create new year files for efficient recordkeeping.
- Complete small and large projects independently or as a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and to work various hours/days and coordinate with the boss's schedule;
- Support a highperformance culture and ensure positive and effective communication amongst the team. A positive attitude is an absolute must.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Proven experience as an accounting clerk, administrator, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance procedures.
Salary: $37,440.00 to $42,000.00 /year
Starting Salary is 18.00 per hour with a guaranteed raise to 19.00 after 90 days, after review, and 20.00 per hour after completing one year.
