Collection of soil samples during drilling, test pitting and excavation activities
Monitoring and collection of groundwater samples utilizing a wide variety of equipment
Experience with groundwater pump and treatment systems
Supervision of drillers and other contractors
Operation of various types of field monitoring equipment (e.g. hand augers, handheld XRF, GPS, data loggers, survey level, combustible gas meters, etc.)
Completion of field documentation such as project field reports, field notes, borehole logs, and laboratory chainofcustody forms
Assists with report writing and ensures their work is completed with accuracy and precision
Generally works under the supervision of senior staff, project coordinators/managers
Committed to health and safety procedures and practice
As required, contributes towards project completion in a technical capacity
Equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair
Provide technical support and mentor junior field staff, as required
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Travel and shiftwork may be required in all seasons and weather conditions

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree or College diploma in a related field
13 years' experience, preferably in a consulting environment
Outstanding organizational and communication abilities
Superior technical skills and attention to detail
Experience analyzing environmental sample data and reporting results to regulatory bodies and stakeholders
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
A valid Class 5 well license would be an asset
Desire to succeed in a dynamic, progressive organization
Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
