  • Design and manage monitoring and reporting programs (groundwater and surface water, landfill gas).
  • Management of projects of varying complexity involving solid waste management design and operations for landfills, composting and transfer stations facilities, cost estimating, tender preparation, permitting and annual regulatory reporting
  • Provide technical support in a very broad range of solid waste projects in the areas including: best practice research, solid waste planning, organics management, anaerobic digestion, resource recovery, technology assessments, waste processing recycling and sorting, landfill and transfer station operations, Solid Waste Master Plans, extended producer responsibility, curbside collection, financial modelling, and community outreach.
  • Project planning, scheduling, allocation of personnel and resources, subcontractor supervision and management, budgeting, invoicing, overall supervision of project personnel, and communication with clients.
  • Directly accountable for revenue, costs, and profitability on all project work assigned as the project manager.
  • Willing to travel to project sites and meetings as required.
  • Providing mentorship and training to junior personnel.

Job Requirements:


  • A postsecondary education in engineering, science, waste management, environmental science, or a related discipline. Licensed (or eligibility) as a P.Geo. or a P.Eng. preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant employment experience on developing solid waste solutions for municipalities, First Nations communities, and the IC&I sectors and completing annual monitoring and reporting for these sectors
  • Familiarity with Ontario and Federal waste and environmental legislation and regulations and a variety of waste management practices.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several assignments at one time
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding and/or proficiency with sector related computer software and all Microsoft Office products
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
