The beloved classic _Charlotte's Web_ is returning to the screen in high quality, stylized CG Our talented crew is helping to create the definitive version of this timeless story produced by Sesame Workshop for HBO Max.

We're searching for a talented
Matte Painter to weave their magic into this reimagined beloved classic

Responsibilities:

Create matte paintings in the style of the show, working from visual direction provided by the Director and Art Director
Gather suitable reference material from various sources
Produce artwork digitally
Utilize 2D Photoshop paintings blended with animated 3D elements to create digital backgrounds and environments which match the overall look and feel of the show
Revise work as per Director and Art Director notes
Provide creative input where appropriate
Work in adherence to budget and schedule constraints
Troubleshoot creative and technical issues as they arise
Keep up to speed with current industry trends
Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

Experienced in related field, preferably within the animation or VFX industry
Completed postsecondary education in fine arts, art fundamentals, classical animation, or other relevant area of study, with strong colour theory knowledge
VFX Matte Painting experience a big plus
Experience working with ACES colour space a big plus
Advanced 2D skills in Photoshop
3D experience in Maya will be a plus
Strong traditional art skills with the ability to produce digitally appealing artwork
High level of creativity, with the ability to perform to standard under tight deadlines
Ability to adapt working style to varying budget and schedule parameters
Ability to handle feedback and constructive criticism well
