Description

As a member of the Stadium Operations team, you will be a part of delivering an amazing Fan Experience by readying event areas, stadium and field for the next series of events, meetings, and games.


This role requires a strong individual to lead, coach and train staff as well as working along side of them to execute set up, stage and tear down with a high degree of quality, care, while being efficient with time and achieving tight timelines.


This is a full time, permanent (salaried) position where the hours are based around events and on-field activities at IG Field.

Events are primarily on nights, holidays and weekends. Your hours and days will vary based on business needs.


Event & Game Day - Set Up/Tear Down & Coordination

  • Setup, stage, tear down: stadium concourse, meeting and banquet rooms for events as required, often 24 changes in a week and ensure all operational elements are looked after
  • Implement event layouts as directed including: Set tables, chairs, pipe and drape, stage, podium, etc with a high degree of quality, care and competency
  • Consistent physical labour to participate in and execute the setup of game day components
  • Assist with event scheduling needs and the establishment of work activities
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping, food and beverage, security, operations & AV when needed
  • Other projects as assigned

Field and Grounds Maintenance Cross Training and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Field of Play set up and conversions between sports, including painting, maintenance and paint removal
  • Assist with field and stadium snow clearing
  • Other projects as assigned

Requirements:


  • Ability to work a highly variable schedule including daytime, evenings, overnight, weekends and some holidays based on event schedules
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Be adaptable to changing shifts and work overtime when required
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Have a current valid driver's license to drive equipment such as truck with trailer, kabota, field scrubbers, etc
  • Can use basic tools to put furniture and truss systems together and make repairs
  • The ability to drive or become certified to drive a Fork Lift
  • Must be able to climb ladders, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and move continuously while working
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
