Basic Function:


  • Maintain and repair of heavy duty and medium duty construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers, etc., by CAT, John Deere, Linkbelt, Komatsu and others
  • Daily communicating with Management
  • Maintain good relations with suppliers
  • Maintain up to date: Equipment Inspection Reports, Service Reports

Skill Requirements:


  • Maintain up to date: Equipment Inspection Reports, Service Reports
minimum of 5 years' experience in repair and service of heavy equipment both in the shop and in the field

  • Proven track record in safe work practices and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised
  • Welding experience
  • Focused, energetic and organized with superior attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Motivated and hard working with a professional attitude
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions and to interpret technical manuals and specifications
  • Previous mining experience is an asset

Duties:


  • The disassembly/overhaul of engines or engine components, transmissions, drive systems components and other assemblies
  • The diagnosis of equipment problems; identifying and replacing worn or broken parts as required, and making all necessary adjustments and alignments

  • Perform predelivery inspections of equipment and new & used equipment preparation
  • Accurate and timely submission of reports and technical documents
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with company policy
  • Keeping the shop clean and other duties as required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Woodstock, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
