Laundry Attendant.

Overlooking Harrison Lake, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort offers the following amenities: five
mineral hot springs pools, the Healing Springs Spa, three restaurants and a coffee bar, extensive
banquet and catering options, Resort Golf Course and Resort Marina.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review mailbox for daily additional information and/or for new memos.

Report to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager upon completion of shift.

Keep all machines in operation, loading / unloading for efficiency.

Check all laundry needs for day and replenishes chemicals, supplies, etc. as needed.

Adhere to all safety standards and "MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS" while
dispensing/using chemicals.

Check linen list for proposed needs for the day and acts on this information.

Laundry tasks may include pressing, folding, spreading sheets, washing, light
cleaning, and working with large industrial machinery pertinent to the laundry
department, on a rotating basis.

Adhere to all resort policies as defined by the Human Resources Policies and
Procedures as well as all that is outlined in the associate handbook.

Complete daily checklist and record any deficiencies, reasons for incomplete tasks or
mechanical difficulties in laundry logbook.

Some stress resulting from the need to manage within time constraints will occur on
a somewhat regular basis.

Must be able to deal with problem solving situations, and make judgment decisions.

Ability to safely lift, pull, push, or carry possibly up to 50 pounds.

Other job related duties may be assigned.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Education.

WHMIS certification is an asset.

First Aid Level III is an asset.

Fluent in oral and written English.

Must have good written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform basic math skills to maintain minimum par stocks of linen required
based on priority of daily operation

Proven previous experience as both an independent worker and as a team player
required.

Proven outstanding listening and problem solving skills.

Ability to quickly and accurately produce incoming and outgoing linen.

Able to interpret a variety of instructions and prioritize.

Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external guests, and
specifically the Housekeeping and Food and Beverage outlets.

Proven ability to carry out instructions in standardized situations.

Ability to observe all safety procedures when operating machinery.

Proven ability to multi-task and take direction well required.

Proven Safe Work and reliable attendance record required.

Proven organizational skills required.

Being multi-lingual is an asset.

Flexible to a changing schedule.
