Overview:

You will play a vital role in supporting production within our Just-In-Time lean manufacturing environment. We are looking for hands-on leaders who are safety oriented - believe in teamwork and continuous improvement. Here at TG Minto we want you to grow and help us think bigger

You will manage all aspects of Production Control department (PC) in Palmerston & Stratford.

Duties and Responsibilities:

TG Minto is looking for leaders who can encourage and inspire their teams.

It will be your duty to ensure your team is performing well and take their feedback about areas of improvement.

We also want our leaders to be able to educate and help their teams reach their full potential.

Hands-on leadership is valuable at TG - which is why we will want you to lead your team by example and keep open lines of communication always.


Responsibilities may include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and recommending corrective action for employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Keep TG Minto Executive informed of all activities within your department.

You will manage, direct and control all aspects of the PC department to meet the goals and targets set out by the Presidents Hoshin.


  • Responsible for PC Warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, sort & wrap, staging, empty returnable sorting & availability, AGV's, picking product, components, service assembly/packing & offsite warehouses
  • Responsible for PC Office functions including material planning/ordering, logistics, component/finish good/outsource/service/back up packaging, customer service & proper inventory of product to ensure no production down time
  • Responsible for yearly performance goals & reviews for assistant manager & manager of the department with weekly meetings direct reports
  • Preparing & controlling overall department expense & capital budget, with leading & implementing cost reduction activities
  • Review monthly department report based on KPI's, and decide on how to improve performance
  • Conduct monthly audits with your direct reports to ensure work instructions, policies, 5S/2S1Y, and safety inspections are being followed and performed
  • Report safety incidents, shipping discrepancies, raw material shortages and customer concerns to upper management along with root cause analysis & countermeasure
  • Communicates with all levels of management, including Japanese staff
  • Contribute to the development of the PC department and lead continuous improvement (Kaizen) of the processes
  • Motivate, coach, develop & train employees to obtain department goals & objectives develop training plans & monitor training progress, supports resolution of conflict along with assis
