Program Coordinator - Business Administratio Program (Smither campus)

Job description and duties

Duties:

Working closely with the Dean and instructors, the Coordinator will ensure program evolution and play a lead role in ensuring program quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and student success.

This includes, but is not limited to the following:

Instructor hiring and scheduling
Budget development / maintenance
Program and curriculum development
Educational liaison and articulation
Student recruitment/retention and advocacy, community outreach, and program promotion
All other related duties of similar scope and complexity

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Business (MBA preferred) or a closely related discipline (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources). Additional post-secondary education and training in teaching, (e.g. A Master's Degree in Adult Education, a Provincial Teaching Certificate or, a Provincial Instructor's Diploma) is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Demonstrated ability to supervise the program
Experience teaching in a variety of formats (i

e:
online, face to face and through distributed learning)

Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching with the ability to inspire and mentor learners
Knowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
Ability to function effectively across cultures, particularly with the local Indigenous communities

The successful applicant will possess a broad range of content knowledge, confidence and experience with business topics. Experience should demonstrate excellent technology and group facilitation skills.
