ANNUAL SALARY
$57, $32.94/hour)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists event planners with all logistics associated with program planning and execution, and all postprogram deliverables
- Provides liaison and administrative support to volunteer speakers and program chairs
- Attends onsite at inperson events as required
- Review and edits program materials
- Manages registration process including payment of registration fees
- Drafts, updates, and distributes PD promotional materials including conference websites
- Manages inventory of inperson conference supplies
- Review invoices and expense claims for accuracy and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Collects data and tracks conference statistics including postconference statistics
- Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- College diploma or university degree
- Certification in event management (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum two years experience in meeting planning and event management
- Experience working in nonprofit sector or professional association (preferred)
- Experience building and managing websites
- Customer service experience
- Experience with any of these technologies an asset: iMIS, EMD, Kentico, Adobe Pro, Photoshop, Survey Monkey, Typeform, Poll Everywhere, Basecamp, Zoom
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat)
- Ability to learn and comfortably work with new and evolving technology
- Advanced communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Good judgement
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision; work effectively and efficiently under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work flexibly within the parameters of the project
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to lift 3050 pounds periodically; ability to stand for long periods
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and travel if required
