Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the operating environment.
  • Ensure relevant performance management activities such as measurement of Service Level Agreements are performed.-
  • Participate in the prioritization process for new demand in relevant stream and assign resources to approved Demand.
  • Maintain internal and external regulatory compliance, security awareness, capacity management, hardware and software (licensing) compliance and security accreditations.
  • Assist in department operational planning and projects and organize and negotiate the allocation of resources.
  • Collaborate with other IT leaders to perform effective staff, infrastructure, and capability planning.
  • Facilitate people management and resourcing, defining roles and responsibilities, staff reviews/appraisals, recruitment/dismissals and staff training.

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to work in the office in downtown Calgary.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • College diploma or university degree in business or computer information systems with a minimum of 10 years' related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience with the following:
  • Contributing to the success of a range of mid-size to large initiatives.-
  • Leading medium to large multi-disciplinary teams and building a team-oriented, collaborative environment.-
  • Creating business cases and managing budgets.-
  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with and demonstrated understanding of enterprise's business and technical architecture.
  • Proven internal and external influencing skills at senior and executive management levels.
  • Experience working with IT in an oil and gas domain.
  • Strong communication skills
  • both written and verbal.
  • Effective negotiation skills, able to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders with differing opinions.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.

The following will be considered an asset:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • ITIL certification
