Head of Mobile - Product Management

As the Head of Mobile, you will be directly responsible for driving meaningful progress against our goal of enabling customer success through real-time & intelligent mobile experiences.
You'll partner with world-class professionals to develop and test solutions to ultimately make our products better and drive outcomes that matter.
And you will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to challenge the status quo, and promotes continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the strategic direction for our mobile product portfolio comprised of our iOS & Android apps as well as the underlying technology platform that fuels them, aligning with the company's goals and vision
- Develop and maintain roadmaps and set of strategies that will drive adoption and usage of mobile products based on business objectives and user needs
- Stay uptodate with the latest mobile technology trends and identify new relevant opportunities
- Effectively partner with engineers to align technology investments with the product agenda, spanning end user functionalities, internal capabilities, and platform health
- Champion the use of the appropriate methods to unearth both internal and external customer needs and ensure product agenda aligns solutions with customer problems
- Lead cross functional teams, including product management, design, engineering, and operations through the delivery of multiple initiatives concurrently, from discovery to iterative releases and insight generation, with a balanced approach of trading off speed to market with risk management
- Work closely with key stakeholders, customers, and partners across Capital One to bring the mobile agenda to life
- Manage multiple product managers as well as associates from other job families including process management and business analysis; coach and mentor associates with the goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
- Elevate the product management craft through promoting a mindset of outcomes over outputs and iterative learning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or relevant field
- 57+ years of product management experience; preferably some experience managing mobile products
- 23+ years of people management experience
- Experience working in an Agile environment and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; ability to make datadriven decisions and provide recommendations to drive action
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and crossfunctional team
- Technical and design knowledge to effectively discuss solutions with partners
- Ability to build and deliver via a highperforming team
- Clear results orientation for both short, medium and long term horizons
- Track record of thriving in a fast paced, uncertain, and dynamic environment
