THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a General Labourer to join our construction team. This role is located on site and reports to the Principal.

The General Labourer will perform a wide variety of duties including but not limited to:

Ensuring a positive image of the construction site as well as the safety and cleanliness of the site while providing support to the Site Superintendent and Construction Safety Officer.

Such general tasks include construction cleaning, organizing waste and material, sweeping, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, garbage removal and other duties as required, and assisting in carpentry and other sub-trades if required.

Providing general support to the construction staff as needed, for the purposes of advancing the company's projects and delivering to the company's standards of professionalism.

Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement by thinking critically about tasks and procedures with the objective of finding better and more efficient ways of performing duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Education
Previous construction experience is desired, but not necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High energy with a positive attitude

Must be reliable, responsible, and hard-working

Well-developed written and oral communications skills

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

Carpentry skills would be an asset
