The Benjamin Moore Vancouver group has been selling paint and decorating products in the Greater Vancouver Area for over 20 years.

Starting from a single store at the tail end of the 90s, the group has grown to be Western Canada's largest Benjamin Moore retail group by focusing on excellent customer service and evolving its assortment and service offering ahead of industry changes and trends.


THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This role is located in Richmond and reports to the District Manager. Your strategic vision and excellent leadership skills will ensure a consistent execution of the Benjamin Moore experience.

The Assistant Store Manager will perform a wide variety of duties including but not limited to:


Assisting the Store Manager in leading the store team in providing customers with an authentic, enthusiastic, and positive retail experience.


Ensuring that the store team maintains excellent product knowledge as well as ensuring that the store's sales floor, merchandising displays, and inventory systems are maintained in a clean, organized, and professional manner.


Leading the culture of continuous improvement in store by creating an open and accessible work environment and fostering a system of positive reinforcement within the store, which is in line with brand and company values.


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Education
Retail management experience is required

Minimum 5 years experience within a similar level role in a high volume and high-end brand environment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High energy with a positive attitude

Proven ability to increase sales and improve efficiencies, resulting in increased profitability

Excellent leadership and management skills

Excellent communication skills at all levels

Sound commercial and brand awareness

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Proficient with point of sale systems

Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Fluency in a second language is an asset
