This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week). Occasional evening meetings and occasional travel outside of London.
Duties**:
The Manager of Quality Partnerships, reporting to the Director, Centre for Academic Excellence, is responsible for overseeing operational activities related to curriculum development and quality assurance, and ensuring that the activities are in support of academic excellence and student success.
The incumbent will oversee the annual review of such partnerships, which will be reported by Fanshawe to the Ontario College Quality Assurance Service (OCQAS) as required.
- Working closely with the Director, the incumbent will also support Fanshawe's program development process, with particular focus on the Feasibility and Launch stages, by working with Deans, Associate Deans, Program Managers, Program Coordinators, professors, and support staff in Academic Services, as well as College employees in Student Services and Corporate Strategy and Business Development, and external stakeholders and partners. The incumbent will also work with the Pathways Coordinator to lead the growth of the Pathways and PLAR portfolio in the Centre for Academic Excellence.
Qualifications - Postsecondary 3year diploma/degree in Business or Education
- Minimum 7 years' experience working in an academic setting and/or business experience in organizational development and learning, corporate communications, or administration
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
- Related experience within an academic setting related to curriculum development and design, quality assurance, or recognition of prior learning
- Demonstrated organizational skills with excellent problemsolving, negotiation and communication skills
- Demonstrated administrative background including budget responsibilities and supervisory responsibilities
- Must have excellent interpersonal and computer skills
- Ability to foster a teambased approach to operational planning and problem solving
- Project/operational management, leadership and supervisory skills
- Supervisory or project planning experience would be an asset
