Description

A well establish, fast growing and dynamic 3PL with multiple warehouses is looking for a motivated and energetic Shipping Supervisor with excellent organizational skills who is able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring proper inspection, packaging, and protection of outgoing products, and ensuring that deliveries are accepted and processed while meeting the company's SLA's.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:_
  • Supervise shipping department staff and daily activities.
  • Participate daily in exchanges on the status of the order flow.
  • Plan a weekly schedule of present staff and assign tasks of various activities of the docks.
  • Actively communicate with the Warehouse Manager to jointly plan for smooth operations.
  • Decide on a daily basis when a load needs to be closed and advise chargers of what to do.
  • Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that the daily courier scheduled times are met and modified, if needed, to accommodate operations.

Skills and Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Shipping Supervisor
  • Experience with operating a Forklift
  • Must have a completed DEC (and/or a combination of education and experience)
  • Bilingual, both written and oral
  • Effective communication, management, and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks

Experience:

Shipping Supervisor: 2 years (preferred)
