Description

We are hiring Metal and Fiber Fabricator for one of our clients This role will be a key asset in the future growth of company.

As Metal and Fiber Fabricator, the primary responsibility is to efficiently manage assembly and production tasks ensuring all projects are meeting deadlines and that all quality specifications are met.

You will also be responsible for ensuring working area is kept clean and organized.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties will vary with welding,fabricating jig from epoxy and fiberglass.
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with saws to match measurements)
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded and clean the sharp points from welding.
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
Finishing jig/mold by cutting/sanding using tools or by hand sanding.
Repair jig with epoxy.
Modify Mold/Jig as per request.
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Skills:

Proven experience as tool shop worker/fabricator
Experience using a variety of welding equipment
Experience with epoxy and fiberglass to make mold/jig or body shop works.
Experience in using electrical or manual power tools (saws, squares, drill press, air drill, grinders, calipers etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use PPE (faceshield, gloves etc.)
Precision and attention to detail
Proficient in English
Professional Certification (e.g., an CWB welding certificate or millwright) will be a plus.
