As a Designated Substances & Hazardous Materials Specialist you will:

Co-ordination and execution of field work associated with designated substances and hazardous materials services;
Preparation and/or review of technical reports;
Management of project financials and schedules;
Communications with clients to assist with the development and execution of work;
Proposal preparation and/or review;
Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables;
Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement through onthejob coaching and guidance to staff;
Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment;
Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs;
Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multidisciplinary projects;
Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed; and,
In addition, any other functions assigned as part of your employment

What you will need to be successful in this role:

Degree or Diploma in related discipline
4+ years of prior consulting experience working in the field of designated substances and hazardous materials or other related disciplines
Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and coworkers
Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to timesensitive issues
Excellent English (verbal/written) communication skills
Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and teach
