    Description

    EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for an experienced, motivated, team-oriented person to join our Land Development team as a Water Resources Engineer. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage internal and external relationships.

    As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

    • Preparing and managing the design and delivery of drainage, hydrotechnical, and/or stormwater management projects
    • Preparation and review of preliminary, detailed, and tender drawings, designs, specifications and plans
    • Preparation and review of calculations and technical assessments
    • Preparation and review of hydraulic and hydrologic models
    • Preparation and review of reports and other project related documentation
    • Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment
    • Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs
    • Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
    • Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
    • Any other functions assigned as part of your employment

    To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

    • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus on water resources
    • An advanced degree in the field of Water Resources Engineering would be an asset
    • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
    • 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role
    • Previous experience in the field of municipal engineering, storm water management, water resources planning/engineering
    • Proficient knowledge in the use of hydrotechnical modelling softwares such as PCSWMM, MIKE+, or Infoworks
    • Proficient knowledge in the use of engineering softwares such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
    • Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
    • Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
    • A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
