Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct, quality care and supervision to youth in a residential environment.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the residents in the facility.
  • Complete reports and documentation as needed.
  • Participate in the daily operation of the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University or College degree/diploma in Child and Youth Care
  • At least 2 year relevant experience working with youth in a residential setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complex issues and challenges facing our clients.
  • Have empathy and strengthsbased relationship based approach
  • Sensitivity to and ability to work with diverse youth from all communities
  • Good communication skills verbal and written.
  • Good administrative and computer skills, able to provide case notes and submit daily logs.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Valid "Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behavior" certification.
  • Valid "First Aid/CPR" certification.
  • Completion of required suicide prevention and intervention training.
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Check within 6 months.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Salary:
$19.00-$22.00 per hour

  • First Aid Certification (preferred)
