About the Job
We're looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team for a temporary 1-year contract. The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for supporting a variety of HR functions within North America.
As Human Resources Business Partner, You Will
- Lead onboarding with all new employees to ensure experience is positive and timely from an organizational and HR perspective
- Support US corporate hiring and onboarding
- Provide support to the Human Resources Vice President (VP) via a range of tasks related to communications, organization, processes, administration, data entry, and other special projects
- Monitor, maintain, and resolve incoming tasks and/or contacts via the Human Resources Service Desk (HRSD) associated with the corporate office
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to corporate staff
- Review and complete the accommodation process for all Canadian employee accommodation requests
- Support the Health & Safety Committee by participation as a guest in quarterly meetings and submission of meeting minutes to the HR Compliance team. Aid in the maintenance of the in office Health & Safety boards
- Identify and initiate Human Resources process improvements within our business unit
- Responsible for timesensitive and confidential material
- Support executive team members in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor and handle disciplinary action and labour cases
- Maintain HR databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems
Requirements:
As Human Resources Business Partner, You Have
- Post-Secondary or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, HR Designation achieved or in process (preferred)
- A minimum of 35 years of HR experience in a fastpaced environment
- Thorough knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing relationships with an ability to listen and maintain patience during difficult situations
- Strong project management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
- Strong interpersonal relations skills; able to deal with people at all levels of the organization
