Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Communicate with client representative on a daily basis
- Provide safety support to coworkers and client representative
- Maintain a mature and professional relationship with personnel in the work area
- Understand the functions and maintenance of the equipment operating
- Report all deficiencies to senior staff and/or direct supervisor
- Conduct safety meetings, site inspections, and incident investigations
- Maintain up to date job site safety statistics
- Ensure safety documentation is filled out appropriately
- Enforce safe work practices and procedures
- Participate in Health & Safety committee meetings
- Understand construction processes
- Other general safety duties
Required Qualifications and Certifications:
- Communication Skills verbal and written (accurate documentation, safety meetings)
- Problem Solving Skills hazard assessments and corrective actions, troubleshooting equipment
- Physical Ability able to stand for long periods of time and walk up to 5km a day. Carrying heavy objects of up to 50lbs is required
- Computer skills
- Adobe, MS Suite, Workhub
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Clean 5 yr Drivers Abstract
- Driver's License (Class 5 minimum)
- Standard First Aid/CPR
- Level C
- CSTS (Construction Safety Training System)
