About the Role

Summary:
Miura Canada is seeking an IT Support Technician for a 6 month contract.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or Co-Op.

The IT Support Technician will be responsible providing front-line support to all of our internal computer users at Miura Canada.

This individual will collaborate with the IT team to ensure best practices are being followed.


Responsibilities:


  • Install office/productivity software and specialized software as required
  • Perform setup and configuration of new devices including but not limited to; Personal computers, printers and network devices
  • Provide end user support to resolve issues pertaining to PC's, printers, mobile devices and software programs
  • Maintain hardware inventory
  • With the help of the IT team, analyze end user requirements and make informed recommendations
  • Perform diagnostic work in the event of service outages

All About You

What make you a perfect fit:

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in IT or currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a related field
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and software including but not limited to Windows 10/11, Windows server 2012 onwards and iOS devices
  • Experience pertaining to the setup and deployment of end user devices
  • Knowledge of file servers, NAS drives and other LAN attached devices
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software licensing
  • Handson experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office installation and support
  • Proficiency with PC hardware installation and support
Bonus Skills

  • Windows deployment services experience
  • Ability to understand Windows CLI
  • Experience with networking protocols and routing
  • Experience with nonWindows operating systems (i.e. Linux)
  • Experience with web service configurations
  • Former employment in a retail environment is a plus

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
$19.00-$21.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
