    Are you ready to be a part of a team that is committed to excellence and innovation in the field of CX design? Scotiabank is looking for an experienced Lead UX Researcher, CX Designer or Design Strategist to join their Design Community of Practice. In this role, you will lead a team of CX practitioners, conduct research, and collaborate with various teams to enhance the digital products of Scotiabank. Sounds exciting, right?     In this role, you will:

    • Provide guidance, support, and coaching for a team
    • Conduct remote and in-person research using a range of methods
    • Drive inclusiveness in principle and practice
    • Lead workshops and group activities that support research and customer needs
    • Work cross-functionally with different teams to design and implement new products
    • Act as a thought leader in CX design
    • Advocate for user-centered design practices
    • Contribute to the conversation on best practices for customer-centric software development
    • Have the opportunity for some travel as part of the role

    Requirements:

    • B.A/B.S. in a field related to human behavior
    • 5+ years' experience in product research and usability evaluation
    • Experience with inclusive research and UX research methodologies
    • Skills in service design, design strategy, and design thinking approaches
    • Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment
    • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and sharing research findings
    • Desire to experiment with new methods and influence teams toward people-centered design

    Nice to have skills:

    • Conversational Spanish skills
    • Experience with analytics tools like Adobe or Google Analytics
    • Public speaking or writing experience related to research, UX, or design
    • Ability to measure the impact of research and design
    • Previous experience teaching research methods
    • Interest in exploring non-traditional recruitment approaches
    • Experience with empathy labs in a UX research context
