This role requires employees to work non-standard hours to support global needs, employees are generally expected to be able to work during standard core hours (i.e. 9am to 5pm EST) when non-standard hours are not required.

Summary


The Communications & Media Relations Specialist is responsible for the communications activities and corresponding plans that incorporate the content marketing strategy, media relations, and represent the consistent voice to all distinct audiences.


This individual is responsible for the communication and content marketing strategy including, content review/writing/editing, content calendars, internal communications, content curation and management, all media relations, and project execution to enhance the consistency and quality of all communications initiatives to enhance the value of IIBA worldwide.


Accountabilities

  • Coordinate effective communications programs for IIBA to assure the value propositions and product deliverables are well understood by our Members, our target audiences, our partners, and the overall business analysis community. This specifically means that each stakeholder group is communicated with in a targeted way, and in a manner and timing that meets the relationship needs of IIBA to each stakeholder and general audience.
  • Directly responsible as the point of contact for all media relations and the development of media and influencer relationships through the appropriate channels to enhance media placements, 3rd party content usage, interviews, IIBA references, and other media activities.
  • Maintain the delivery of key communications vehicles including blog posts, quarterly publications, content syndication, and other tactical marketing activities.
  • Evaluate and measure all communications initiative ROI or established means of measurement to ensure effective usage of resources.
  • Provide communications support for all IIBA events, including tradeshows, webinars, virtual event, Chapter events, and all other forms; all marketing and programs campaigns; and all membership and Chapter needs as deemed relevant by the Marketing team and/or IIBA leadership team.
  • Administer effective communications on a global basis that matches the cultural, geography, and language needs of the stakeholders that is consistent with IIBA strategy and desires. Tailor all communication messages to assure they are culturally effective and sensitive to regional and local needs.
  • Assure the overall key brand messaging of IIBA, the quality and integrity of the brand, the logo and the image of IIBA are effectively managed while providing emphasis on support for revenue and growth objectives.
  • Responsible for all internal messaging supporting the appropriate campaign and initiatives for the entire organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a communications/marketing focus
  • 5 years' experience in a communications role
  • Experience developing relationships with media outlets and successful record of media placements
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to support varying communication media
  • Experience working with a team in the creation/review of marketing collateral, responsible for brand and communication integrity, and the execution of a comprehensive communications strategy
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and decisionmaking skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Teams, Pardot, Salesforce, and virtual conferences tools, including Zoom
  • Experience working with a fastpaced, global organization
  • Ability to successfully work remotely with mínimal supervision
