McMillan has an exciting opportunity as a full-time, daytime,
Document Automation Specialist. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in providing document automation programming and Extranet portal support to all offices across Canada.
Please note that we have extensive pandemic protocols in place to protect all firm members. This role is a remote role with occasional onsite attendance as needed for teaM/Firm events.
What You'll Do
You will be a key addition to the fast-paced Document Automation and Special Projects team, maximizing your expert skills in document automation solutions, such as Contract Express, Documate, Microsoft Office, or similar automation solutions, as well as providing support for Firmex and HighQ Extranet and internal collaboration portal solutions.
- Assisting in the implementation of document automation tools nationally. This includes, planning, designing, coding, administering and deploying document automation solutions and templates, as well as working with product vendors for changes and upgrades as required
- Assisting in the creation and administration of the firm's extranet data rooms and client portal solutions, including working closely with firm members on the creation and design of new projects, liaising with product vendors, providing training, preparing reference materials, providing portal maintenance support and participating in portal security, upgrades, and enhancements
- Conducting and collaborating with firm members on testing; identifying and addressing issues and enhancements; and documenting issues and results
- Preparing documents for coding, including formatting and styling, generating blacklines, and providing other document related support
- Assisting in training and supporting firm members nationally on document automation solutions, templates, and related products
- Participating in technology initiatives including, researching, evaluating, testing, and documenting
- Providing document automation and portal troubleshooting support and problem resolution
What You Bring
You have experience and a passion for designing and creating document automation solutions.
You have a
minimum 2 to 3 years, in a professional environment automating Word documents and are familiar with a variety of complex document layouts.
You have some knowledge of portal and collaboration solutions and a keen desire to expand and grow your skillset to support firm members with their portal needs.
