Key Accountabilities

Note:

  • Claims Support (50%)- Opens and assigns new claims files. Enters claims information into GIS.- Orders reports for the claims department.- Processes windshield claims.- Maintains up to date electronic notes.- Processes Salvage cheques and invoices.- Resolves routine administrative problems.
  • Customer Experience (20%)- Ensures all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner.- Ensures a high level of customer service is achieved and maintained.
  • Stakeholder Relationships (10%)- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with claimants, insureds, brokers, and service providers.
  • Leadership (10%)- Actively contributes to and supports a culture of a high performing workforce.- Participates in divisional succession plans, ensuring ongoing professional and career development and supports development in others.- Supports a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies.- Is actively committed to leadership development across the company, supporting team and workforce readiness through mentoring, training and developmental opportunities.
  • Corporate Management (10%)- Enables the success of programs and policies that are in alignment with corporate, strategic and divisional strategies.- Manages risk in area of authority.- Ensures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility.


Education & Experience- A one-year certificate from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business or Office Administration years' experience in an office environment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Knowledge of office procedures and office equipment.- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word and Excel.- Knowledge of claims procedures.- Knowledge of the principles and practice of insurance.
