Description
Reporting to the Social Media Manager, we're looking for another creative to join our growing Social Media team.

As a part of this team, your mission is to flood the web with hilarious memes and short-form videos, along with producing engaging long-form video content for our Floatplane platform.

We're looking for content-minded, tech-savvy individuals with a strong passion for technology, the creator economy, and online culture.

This role's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Duties:


  • Creating viral memes to be posted on our social media accounts.
  • Producing engaging shortform videos for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram (being involved from ideation > shooting > editing).
  • Producing exclusive longform videos for our subscriptionbased Floatplane platform (being involved from ideation > shooting > editing).
  • Engaging with both our community and the wider online technology community to strengthen and grow our internet presence.
  • Evaluating content performance and finding ways to optimize our content strategy.
  • Staying uptodate with the evershifting technology and online culture landscapes, finding new opportunities as they come up.

Job Requirements:


  • A strong understanding of our channels, our content, and our voice
- bonus points if you're a long-time fan

  • A creative personality.
  • Knowledge and passion for technology and gaming.
  • Knowledge and passion for Youtube and online culture.
  • Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite, both in graphic and video forms.
  • A proactive "cando" attitude and willingness to turn feedback into meaningful change (both from the community, and internally).
  • Ability to excel under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and stay organized.
  • Strong writing skills.

Assets:


  • Past experience in a social media or content production focused role.
  • Past experience with online content creation (shortform or longform).
  • Proven success in growing social media accounts, whether it be for other brands, or for yourself.
  • Strong presentation and/or interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with cameras.
  • Experience working with content creators.
  • Experience with digital marketing.
