Description

Position Summary:


  • Responsible for cooking menu items for all diets in quantities as specified on all production sheets;
  • Prepares menu items as specified for the cooking rotation currently assigned to
  • Maintains ingredient and portion control as per standardized recipes
  • Supervises dietary staff
  • Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds utilizing appropriate lifting techniques
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:


  • Grade XII education
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Experience in a long term care setting preferred

Salary:
$20.59-$23.87 per hour

  • Cooking: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
