Our fast-paced and motivated team is currently recruiting a Project Manager who will play a key role within Nomodic's operations team.

**THE JOB
The Project Manager will perform all or some of the following duties:

Safety

  • Supports Nomodic's safety vision and complies with all safety rules, policies, and procedures; maintains accountability for safety performance of subordinate personnel
  • Coordinate safety efforts for all projects. Using both internal and external resources as required.
  • Report all incidents immediately to the Director of Projects and ensure that the incident reporting policies are followed
  • Participate in risk and incident reviews as applicable

Operations

  • Development of the project execution plan based upon the contracted construction documents, such as specifications, scope of work, schedules, and estimation budget
  • Manage the design development process of commercial projects from conceptual, development permit, building permit and to IFC's.
  • Tender, procure, negotiate and contract subcontractors to perform construction activities
  • Manage the client contract and administration including change orders, client meetings, contract deliverables, and progress claims
  • Manage and coordinate shop drawings and RFI's
  • Ensures the required coordination activities occur with other Nomodic staff, departments, and external parties as necessary to execute the work
  • Maintain open communications with their Construction Managers reviewing deliverables on a weekly basis with daily updates expected as a minimum standard
  • Ensure that project activities, reporting and scheduling requirements assigned by the Director of Projects for their area are implemented and executed in such a manner that both Nomodic and client expectations are fully met
  • Review, forecast and update both costing and scheduling on a weekly basis by working closely with the Project Management team
  • Resolves field construction problems in coordination with engineering staff, third parties, and other agencies as necessary
  • Monitors claims, suggests ways to mitigate impacts, and develops workarounds

Reporting

  • Responsible for pre, progress, and post budget reporting
  • Conduct reviews, forecasts, and provide executive updates for projects monthly while maintaining familiarity of the project activities, risks, and potential issues each day
  • Manage all client reporting as per the requirements of the contract or requests by the client
  • Attends management, progress meetings, develops status reports, and delivers presentations as required
Other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or other related field; Equivalent work experience may be considered
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Construction Management best practices
  • Technological ly savvy with an understanding of software programs related to Construction Management
  • Must be fluent in English and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have minimum of valid class 5 driver's license

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years project management experience, or equivalent
  • BC Housing or Social Housing experience is an asset
  • Experience in both industrial and commercial volumetric modular construction strongly advantageous
  • Proficient in contract management with knowledge of various construction contract types
  • Experience with Agile, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Enterprise Resource Programs (ERP) preferred
  • Advancedlevel proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Ability to promote and exemplify Nomodic's core values
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and logistics skills with a propensity for multitasking
  • Adaptability and the ability to react quickly in a fastpaced environment and work under pressure while meeting deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills
  • High standards of integrity and ethical conduct; ensuring the preservation of confidential and/or sensitive information
  • Confidence and assertiveness to lead and direct vendors and contractors while maintaining a positive working relationship
**WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Work weeks are 5 days, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, with variable times due to travel necessities and restrictions
