As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013.
However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally Network and System Administrator to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Management: - Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and optimize network configuration for maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and cyber threats.
System Administration:
- Administer and maintain servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including patch management, software updates, and backups.
User Support and Helpdesk:
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Assist users with account management, password resets, access permissions, and system configurations.
- Document and maintain knowledge base articles, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard IT assets and data integrity.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and industry best practices.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, backup strategies, and contingency measures to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Test and validate backup systems, recovery procedures, and failover mechanisms on a regular basis.
To be successful you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Network and System Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with network infrastructure devices (routers, switches, firewalls), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with security tools and practices, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and encryption.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a proactive and customerfocused approach to resolving issues.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent are a plus.
